This is general information, not tax advice. Income tax in Egypt is administered by the Egyptian Tax Authority. Payouts are paid by the firm under a contract rather than earned on assets you own, so they are commonly looked at as income from an activity rather than as a capital gain, although the right treatment depends on your circumstances, including your residence and how regularly you trade. Before your first payout, ask the Egyptian Tax Authority or a qualified tax adviser whether you need to register and how the income should be declared. Record each payout in Egyptian pounds with the exchange rate used, and keep the firm's payout statements and your bank records together. Prop firm income and tax explains the general principles.

Many prop firms describe their evaluations as simulated trading and do not claim an FRA licence, so read what a firm says about its own status and check both FRA lists before you pay.
