Editorial Policy

Select Prop Firms publishes firm profiles, reviews, comparisons and guides for traders choosing a prop firm. The standards below apply to all of that content.

Independence

Some firms pay Select Prop Firms a commission on challenges bought through links on the site, and some feature offers such as discount codes. These relationships do not change a firm’s rules data, its review or its rating. How Select Prop Firms makes money sets out how the site is funded.

Sources

  • A firm’s rules, drawdown limits, profit split, payout policy, programs and list prices come from the firm’s own website, help centre and terms, and each is recorded with its source.
  • Any number or rule attributed to a named firm is checked against that firm’s own material.
  • Ratings shown on firm profiles are Trustpilot scores. Where Trustpilot shows no rating for a firm, including where it has withheld one for a breach of its guidelines, the profile shows no rating either.
  • Other review and comparison sites are not used as sources.
  • If a rule, price or date cannot be confirmed, it is left out rather than estimated.

Dates and updates

Every written review states the date on which the firm’s rules and prices were checked, and articles show the date they were last updated or reviewed. A date records when the information was checked. Firms change their programs, prices and rules often, so confirm the terms on the firm’s own site before you buy.

Profiles of firms that have paused operations or taken their website offline show that status and the month it was confirmed. Confirmed closures and other status changes are recorded, with their sources, on the prop firm status tracker.

Corrections

Readers can report an error through the review form or the contact details on the About page.
