Alpha Capital review
Alpha Capital Group is a UK prop firm registered in Harpenden, England, which launched in November 2021 and sits within a wider group that includes Alpha Futures and the broker ACG Markets. Traders buy an evaluation, trade simulated funds and, after passing, become Qualified Analysts who earn a performance fee on eligible profits. There are four account families. Alpha One is a one step evaluation offered with a 6%, 10% or 12% target, each with a trailing maximum loss of 4%, 6% or 8%. Alpha Pro is a two step evaluation with a static maximum loss of 6%, 8% or 10% and leverage of up to 1:100. Alpha Swing is a two step plan with targets of 10% and 5% that keeps weekend holding once qualified. Alpha Direct skips the evaluation, pays a 90% split and applies a 5% trailing limit and a 15% best day rule. List prices run from $27 for a $5,000 Alpha Pro 6% to $1,097 for the largest Alpha Swing account. The standard split is 80%, with a 90% add on for eligible plans, and approved payouts are paid within two business days through Rise, Wise or bank transfer. Accounts trade on MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DXtrade or TradeLocker, and residents of the United States cannot buy an evaluation.
Suits
Disciplined forex traders who want to set their own balance of target and drawdown and can keep open losses on any single asset small.
Less suited to
Avoid Alpha Capital if you live in the United States, run fully automated expert advisors, or need to hold Alpha Pro positions over the weekend once qualified.
Pros
- Alpha One and Alpha Pro each come in three risk settings, so targets and loss limits can be matched to a strategy.
- Entry prices are low, from $27 for a $5,000 Alpha Pro 6% account.
- Approved payouts are paid within two business days through Rise, Wise or bank transfer.
- Alpha Pro and Alpha Swing use a static maximum loss set from the starting balance.
- Alpha Swing keeps weekend holding on the qualified account.
Cons
- Qualified accounts are closed if open losses on a single asset reach 3%, 2% or 1%, depending on account size and plan.
- Qualified Alpha Pro and Alpha Direct accounts cannot hold positions over the weekend.
- Expert advisors are limited to trade management tools on MT5, and fully automated trading is prohibited.
- Evaluation fees are not refundable, and on demand payouts carry a 40% best day rule.
- Trustpilot shows no rating for the firm, citing a breach of its guidelines.
Verdict
Alpha Capital's strongest feature is the range of risk settings inside each plan. A trader can pick an Alpha One target of 6%, 10% or 12% with a matching trailing limit, or an Alpha Pro version with a static floor of 6%, 8% or 10%, and entry prices are low, from $27 for the smallest Pro account. Payouts are paid within two business days, there are several withdrawal routes, and the static drawdown on the Pro and Swing plans gives swing traders a fixed floor to plan around. The rule set is detailed, however, and several points matter at the qualified stage. Alpha Pro and Alpha Direct accounts cannot hold trades over the weekend once qualified, a ten minute news window applies to most qualified accounts, and a max risk rule introduced in July 2026 closes a qualified account if open losses on one asset reach 3% on smaller accounts, 2% from $50,000 or 1% on Alpha Direct. The average trade must last longer than two minutes, expert advisors are limited to trade management tools on MT5, and evaluation fees are not refundable. On demand payouts also carry a 40% best day rule. Trustpilot currently shows no rating for Alpha Capital, stating that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, while more than 21,000 reviews remain listed. The firm suits disciplined intraday and swing traders who want to fine tune their targets and are comfortable working within strict limits on open risk.

Questions about Alpha Capital
Is Alpha Capital legit?
Alpha Capital Group Limited is a company registered in England under number 13719951, with its registered office in Harpenden. The firm launched in November 2021 and belongs to a group that includes Alpha Futures and the broker ACG Markets. Trustpilot currently shows no rating for the firm, stating that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, while more than 21,000 reviews remain listed.
How much does an Alpha Capital evaluation cost?
On the default on demand payout option, a $10,000 account costs $47 on Alpha Pro 6%, $57 on Pro 8%, $77 on Pro 10%, $67 to $107 on Alpha One and $147 on Alpha Swing. A $100,000 account costs between $397 and $587 on most plans. Choosing payouts every 14 days on Alpha Pro costs slightly more, and the 90% split and swap free add ons each add about 10%.
What is the difference between Alpha One and Alpha Pro?
Alpha One is a single phase evaluation with a target of 6%, 10% or 12%, a trailing maximum loss and 1:30 leverage, and it can be passed in one trading day. Alpha Pro has two phases with a static maximum loss of 6%, 8% or 10%, leverage of up to 1:100 and a minimum of three trading days per phase. Qualified Alpha Pro accounts cannot hold trades over the weekend.
How do Alpha Capital payouts work?
Alpha Pro traders choose at purchase between payouts every 14 days, with a $100 minimum, or on demand. On demand requests need at least 2% profit and a best day of no more than 40% of total profit. Requests are made from the dashboard with all trades closed and are paid within two business days through Rise, Wise or bank transfer. A 0.25% bonus is added on the fourth payout.
Can you trade news with Alpha Capital?
News trading is unrestricted during evaluations. On qualified Alpha Pro, Alpha One and Alpha Direct accounts, traders cannot open or close positions on affected instruments from five minutes before to five minutes after a listed high impact release, and stop loss or take profit fills in that window count. Profits from such trades are not eligible. Qualified Swing accounts follow a two minute rule instead.
Does Alpha Capital have a scaling plan?
Yes, on Alpha Pro and Alpha Swing. When a qualified account is 10% in profit and that profit has been withdrawn, the trader can ask for the balance to be raised by 10% of the initial size. This can repeat each time a further 10% is made, up to a cumulative $2 million across scaled accounts, and the maximum lot size rises from the second scale.
