Maven Trading review

Rules and prices checked on 29 September 2026 against Maven Trading’s own website and terms.

Maven Trading is a forex and CFD prop firm run by Maven LLC, registered in a Dubai free zone, with an education company in Dubai Silicon Oasis. It has operated since 2022 and offers accounts from $2,000 to $100,000 on MetaTrader 5 and Match Trader, with MetaTrader unavailable in the United States and Canada. The core range has three evaluations. The Standard 1 Step asks for 8% with a 3% daily limit and a 5% trailing maximum loss. The Standard 2 Step uses targets of 8% and 5% with a 4% daily limit and an 8% static maximum loss, and needs three profitable days of 0.5% in each phase. The Standard 3 Step asks for 3% in each of three phases with a tight 2% daily and 3% static limit. Instant and Mini accounts skip the evaluation with a 3% trailing limit, the Omo 2 Step uses targets of 6% and 8%, and a Buy Now Pay Later plan costs $5 upfront with the rest due after passing. List prices are low, from $13 for a $2,000 3 Step to $472 for a $100,000 Omo account. The split is 80% on most plans and 70% on Mini, standard accounts pay out every 10 business days, and the fee is refunded with the third withdrawal. Expert advisors are banned on every account.

Suits

Manual forex traders on a small budget who manage risk tightly and want a low cost route to a funded account.

Less suited to

Avoid Maven if you use expert advisors, trade around high impact news, or expect to withdraw more than $10,000 in a month.

Pros

  • A $10,000 account costs $37 on the Standard 1 Step and $38 on the 3 Step.
  • The challenge fee is refunded with the third withdrawal on most plans.
  • Weekend holding is allowed on every account type.
  • Standard accounts pay out every 10 business days.
  • A Buy Now Pay Later plan starts at $5, with the balance due only after passing.

Cons

  • Withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per trader in each rolling 30 day cycle.
  • Expert advisors are banned on every platform.
  • The 3 Step allows only a 2% daily loss and a 3% maximum loss.
  • Standard accounts block trade execution two minutes either side of red folder news.
  • Trustpilot shows no rating for the firm, citing a breach of its guidelines.

Verdict

Maven's clearest advantage is price. A $10,000 account costs $37 to $62 across the main evaluations, the smallest accounts cost less than $20, and the fee is refunded with the third payout on most plans, which makes the firm a low cost way to test a strategy. Weekend holding is allowed on every account, the Standard 2 Step uses a static floor, and payouts arrive every 10 business days. The cheap entry comes with tight limits and extra conditions. The 3 Step allows only a 2% daily loss and a 3% overall loss, the 1 Step and Instant accounts use a trailing maximum loss from the equity high, and the Standard plans block trade execution for two minutes either side of red folder news. Expert advisors are prohibited on all platforms. Withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per trader in each rolling 30 day cycle, with any excess profit voided, a best day limit of 50% applies once profit passes $5,000, and a risk interview is required once payouts exceed that level. Rise payouts carry a $20 fee. Trustpilot currently shows no rating for Maven, stating that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, with more than 5,200 reviews listed. The firm suits manual traders on a small budget who trade with tight risk and do not expect very large single payouts.

Questions about Maven Trading

Is Maven Trading legit?

Maven's terms name Maven LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates under the DIEZ free zone, and the site also lists Maven Edu FZCO in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The firm says it has operated since 2022. Trustpilot currently shows no rating for Maven, stating that the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, while more than 5,200 reviews remain listed.

How much does a Maven challenge cost?

A $10,000 account costs $37 on the Standard 1 Step and Instant, $38 on the 3 Step, $44 on the 2 Step and Mini, and $62 on the Omo 2 Step. A $100,000 account costs $299 on the 3 Step, $380 on the 1 Step, $440 on the 2 Step and $472 on the Omo. The fee is refunded with the third withdrawal on most plans.

What are Maven's drawdown rules?

The daily limit is measured from the higher of equity or balance at 00:00 UTC: 3% on the 1 Step, 4% on the 2 Step and Omo, and 2% on the 3 Step, Instant and Mini accounts. The maximum loss is 5% trailing on the 1 Step, 8% static on the 2 Step and Omo, 3% static on the 3 Step and 3% trailing on Instant and Mini.

How often does Maven pay out?

On the standard plans, traders can request a withdrawal every 10 business days after their first trade, and the challenge fee is refunded with the third withdrawal. Withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per trader in each rolling 30 day cycle, and a risk interview is required once payouts exceed $5,000. Payments are made through Rise, with a $20 fee, or by direct bank transfer in some countries.

Can you trade news with Maven?

On the standard challenges and funded accounts, traders cannot open or close trades within two minutes either side of a red folder news release, including take profit or target hits, and profits made in that window are not credited. The rule does not apply to Instant accounts. The Omo 2 Step allows news trading but caps funded profit from each news event at 0.5% of the balance.

Does Maven have a scaling plan?

Yes. A trader who makes 10% over four months, an average of 2.5% a month, and takes at least one payout each month receives a 25% increase in account size. The process can repeat until the account reaches $1,000,000. Funded starting capital is limited to $200,000 per trader before any scaling is applied.
