Rules at a Glance

Trade the Pool rules in full

You can trade almost any U.S.-listed stock or ETF (over 12,000 symbols available). Trading is done through spot trading of actual stocks and ETFs, not derivatives or leveraged instruments. Index futures like NQ or ES are not allowed, but their ETFs (e.g., QQQ, SPY) can be traded. You have 100 trading days to complete the evaluation phase. You must open and close at least 5 separate positions during the evaluation. Your best trade cannot exceed 30% of the total profit target during evaluation (e.g., if target is $1,500, best trade max is $450). Overnight and weekend holding is allowed, including pre-market and after-hours sessions. Minimum average volume of a ticker to hold overnight is 500,000 shares. Position volume must not exceed 5% of the trading volume in the previous one-minute candle. Trading during scheduled earnings reports is restricted; positions will be liquidated before earnings. Automated or algorithmic trading software is not allowed. Copy trading is allowed only between a maximum of two accounts and must be manually executed by the trader. Risk Management Rules: Risk management is mandatory and strongly encouraged to optimize account growth. Maximum risk per trade is limited to 30% of your daily loss limit. Each position must yield at least 10 price ticks of profit (e.g., $0.10 difference between entry and exit). There must be at least a 60-second gap between opening/adding and closing/reducing executions on a position. Profit from any position is counted only if these distance and duration requirements are met. The program enforces consistency rules to ensure steady, repeatable trading performance. Daily loss limits and maximum drawdowns are strictly enforced. You must comply with all regulatory and exchange rules, including trading halts and volume restrictions. Violations such as market manipulation, use of unauthorized accounts, or providing misleading information can lead to disqualification.

Trade the Pool review

Rules and prices checked on 1 October 2026 against Trade the Pool’s own website and terms.

Trade The Pool is a stocks prop firm operated by Five Percent Online Ltd, the Israeli company behind The5ers, with a UK branch in London. Traders use the TraderEvolution platform to trade more than 12,000 US listed stocks and ETFs, including penny stocks, IPOs and short positions, with sessions running 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday. Options, futures and CFDs are not offered, so index exposure comes through ETFs such as SPY and QQQ. There are two main account families, each sold in a Flex and a Max version. Day Trading accounts offer buying power from $5,000 to $200,000 with a 6% target, while Swing accounts run from $2,000 to $40,000 with a 15% target and a 7% maximum loss. Flex has no time limit and costs more, while Max is cheaper but must pass within 60 days for day trading or 100 days for swing trading. List prices range from $47 for a $5,000 Day Max account to $1,475 for a $200,000 Day Flex account. A separate Edge program at $156 or $266 pays an 80% split. Funded Flex and Max accounts pay 70% of profits every 14 days, with a $300 minimum. Traders in the United States are accepted, and the pattern day trader rule does not apply.

Suits

Active US stock and ETF traders who want a large buying power account, short selling and extended hours access without the pattern day trader rule.

Less suited to

Avoid Trade The Pool if you want to trade options, futures or forex, hold stocks through earnings, or scalp trades that last under 30 seconds.

Pros

  • More than 12,000 US stocks and ETFs are available, including penny stocks, IPOs and short selling without locate fees.
  • The daily limit on Flex and Max accounts pauses trading for the day rather than failing the account.
  • Traders in the United States are accepted, and the pattern day trader rule does not apply.
  • Real time market data and the trading platform carry no monthly fee.
  • Trading runs around the clock from Monday to Friday, with the Blue Ocean venue covering the overnight session.

Cons

  • Funded Flex and Max accounts pay a 70% split, with payouts only every 14 days and a $300 minimum.
  • Profits only count when a position lasts 30 seconds and moves at least 10 cents, and entries are capped at 5% of the previous minute's volume.
  • Day trading accounts are liquidated at 3:50 PM Eastern Time and hold only a fraction of their buying power overnight.
  • Maximum losses of 3% on Day Max and 4% on Day Flex accounts leave limited room for drawdowns.
  • Flex accounts and funded Max accounts are closed after 14 days without trading activity.

Verdict

Trade The Pool is built for stock traders rather than forex traders who have moved across. It offers more than 12,000 US stocks and ETFs, short selling in hard to borrow names without locate fees, free real time data and trading through the night on a subset of symbols. The daily limit on Flex and Max accounts works as a pause rather than a breach, so a bad day stops trading until the next session instead of ending the account. Residents of the United States can join, and the account is not subject to the pattern day trader rule. The trade off is a dense set of validity rules. A position must stay open for at least 30 seconds and move at least 10 cents for its profit to count, entries cannot exceed 5% of the previous minute's volume, and during the evaluation a single position cannot supply more than 30% or 50% of the target, depending on the account. Day accounts are closed out at 3:50 PM Eastern Time and carry only a small slice of buying power overnight, and positions cannot be held through earnings. Maximum losses of 3% or 4% on day accounts leave little room, and Flex and funded Max accounts close after 14 days without trading. Funded Flex and Max accounts pay a 70% split every 14 days, and scaling adds 5% buying power for each 10% of valid profit. Trustpilot shows a rating of 4.4 from 860 reviews. Trade The Pool suits active US stock traders who scalp or swing liquid names with defined risk and can work within precise execution rules.

Payouts

Payouts are made every 14 days. On the Max program, the minimum payout amount is $300. However, on the Flex program, traders must have at least 3 profitable days, each with a profit of 0.5% or greater of their Buying Power, in order to qualify for a payout.
