Lark Funding review

Lark Funding is a CFD prop firm that began in July 2022. Its services are operated by Lark Dashboards Inc., a company registered in Quebec with an office in Montréal, under licence from Lark Funding Inc. Traders use DXTrade, cTrader or Match Trader and can trade forex, metals, indices, energies, crypto and more than 100 US stock CFDs. There are four products. The 1 Step Evaluation asks for a 10% gain with a 5% daily loss limit and a 7% static drawdown, and costs from $200 for $10,000 to $1,500 for $200,000. Funded 1 Step accounts pay an 80% split every 14 days and can also earn the Lark Base, a monthly reward of 0.5% of the account size that is paid even without new gains, provided the trader stays above a 3.5% drawdown and logs three days of at least 0.5%. The 3 Step Evaluation uses targets of 5%, 4% and 3% with a 5% static drawdown and no daily limit, priced from $105 to $750. Instant accounts from $5,000 to $100,000 cost $200 to $4,500 and pay a 90% split under an 8% trailing drawdown. A newer 1 Step Fast model advertises a 12% static drawdown from $99. There are no time limits, no minimum trading days and no consistency rules.

Suits

Intraday forex and index traders who close positions before the weekend and want a fixed drawdown, no time limit and a monthly base reward once funded.

Less suited to

Avoid Lark Funding if you hold trades over the weekend without paying for the add on, trade without a stop loss or aim for single trades that gain more than $10,000.

Pros

  • The 1 Step Evaluation has no time limit, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule.
  • Drawdown on the 1 Step and 3 Step Evaluations is fixed to the starting balance and does not trail gains.
  • Funded 1 Step traders can earn a monthly Lark Base of 0.5% of the account size even without new gains.
  • The firm publishes its own 2026 pass and payout rates in its terms.
  • Three platforms are offered, with more than 100 US stock CFDs alongside forex, indices and crypto.

Cons

  • Weekend holding needs an add on costing 10% of the fee, and positions are otherwise closed at 3:45 pm Eastern time on Fridays.
  • Every payout carries a flat $40 processing fee through Riseworks.
  • Daily and per trade gains above $10,000 are excluded, and three breaches end a funded account.
  • Instant accounts use an 8% trailing drawdown until the first payout or an 8% gain.
  • Some pages still describe older rules, and the 1 Step Fast target and split are not published.

Verdict

Lark Funding's main strengths are its simple evaluation rules and the Lark Base. The 1 Step Evaluation has no time limit, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule, and its 7% drawdown is fixed to the starting balance rather than trailing gains. The Lark Base gives funded 1 Step traders a monthly payment of 0.5% of the account size in any month they stay within a 3.5% drawdown and record three days of at least 0.5%, on top of the 80% split on gains. Lark also publishes its own outcome data: its terms state that 14.76% of 1 Step evaluation accounts in 2026 so far have passed and 10.95% have gone on to complete at least one withdrawal. Several rules deserve attention before buying. Weekend holding needs an add on costing 10% of the account fee, and without it all positions are closed at 3:45 pm Eastern time on Fridays. Every trade needs a stop loss when it is placed, or it is closed automatically. Daily and per trade gains above $10,000 are removed from funded accounts, and three such breaches end the account. Each payout carries a flat $40 Riseworks fee, and instant accounts use a trailing drawdown until the first payout or an 8% gain. The How It Works page still describes an older two phase evaluation that does not match the current program cards. Trustpilot shows a rating of 4.3 from 519 reviews. Lark Funding suits intraday and short term traders who close positions before the weekend and value a steady base reward alongside the performance split.

Questions about Lark Funding

Is Lark Funding legit?

Lark Funding has operated since July 2022. Its services are run by Lark Dashboards Inc., a Quebec company based in Montréal, under licence from Lark Funding Inc., and all trading takes place on simulated accounts. Trustpilot shows a rating of 4.3 from 519 reviews. The firm's terms also publish its 2026 pass and payout rates for 1 Step evaluation accounts.

How much does a Lark Funding evaluation cost?

The 1 Step Evaluation costs $200 for $10,000, $500 for $50,000, $800 for $100,000 and $1,500 for $200,000. The 3 Step Evaluation costs $105, $280, $370 and $750 for the same sizes. The 1 Step Fast runs from $99 for $10,000 to $899 for $200,000, and instant accounts cost from $200 for $5,000 to $4,500 for $100,000.

What is the Lark Base?

The Lark Base is a monthly reward for funded 1 Step traders worth 0.5% of the account size, so $500 a month on a $100,000 account. To receive it, the account must stay above a 3.5% drawdown and record at least three trading days with a gain of 0.5% or more in the month. It is paid in addition to the 80% split on any gains.

How do Lark Funding payouts work?

Funded 1 Step and 3 Step accounts can request a payout every 14 days, and a weekly payouts add on is available at checkout. Instant accounts can take their first payout on demand and then one every 30 days. The minimum is $100, payouts are sent through Riseworks with a flat $40 fee, and the firm says most are handled within six hours.

Can you hold trades over the weekend with Lark Funding?

Not by default. Without the Hold Over The Weekend add on, which costs 10% of the account fee, trading is disabled at 3:45 pm Eastern time on Fridays and all open positions and pending orders are closed. Overnight holding during the week is allowed, but single stock CFDs must be closed before earnings releases, dividends and other corporate actions.

Does Lark Funding allow news trading?

Yes. There are no news trading restrictions on any program. However, the prohibited strategies policy treats large positions opened around high impact news as all or nothing trading, and daily or per trade gains above $10,000 are removed. The firm recommends keeping risk per trade idea at or below 1.5%, and every order needs a stop loss.
