TradeDay review

Rules and prices checked on 1 October 2026 against TradeDay’s own website and terms.

TradeDay is a futures evaluation firm registered in Illinois in 2020, with an office in Chicago and a presence in the UK. Its evaluations are monthly subscriptions in 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K sizes, with profit targets of $1,500 to $9,000 and trailing drawdowns of $1,000 to $4,500. There is no activation fee. Quick Pay needs five trading days and a 30% consistency ratio, with a choice of intraday or end of day drawdown in the evaluation. Once funded, every Quick Pay account uses an intraday drawdown, and payouts can be requested from day one with no buffer and a $250 minimum. The split is 50/50 while account profit is below $4,000 and 80/20 above it. Fast Pass uses end of day drawdown throughout, needs three days and a 45% consistency ratio, and pays 80/20 after five profitable days, with caps of $750 to $2,250 per request. Funded Live traders keep 90%. List prices run from $100 to $500 a month, and the site showed 55% off at the time of review. Tier 1 data releases cannot be traded, positions must be closed 10 minutes before the daily close, and platforms include Tradovate, NinjaTrader and a wide range of Rithmic software. TradeDay reports a 36% evaluation pass rate for January to June 2026.

Suits

Futures day traders who want payouts from the first funded day, or an end of day drawdown path with an 80/20 split.

Less suited to

You trade tier 1 news releases, want a one time fee, or expect a full profit split on early payouts.

Pros

  • Quick Pay funded accounts can request payouts from day one with no buffer and a $250 minimum.
  • Fast Pass uses an end of day trailing drawdown in both the evaluation and the funded stage.
  • There is no activation fee, and the subscription stops once the trader is funded.
  • Platform choice is broad, covering Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and many Rithmic platforms.
  • TradeDay publishes its evaluation pass rate, 36% for January to June 2026.

Cons

  • Quick Pay pays only 50% of payouts taken while account profit is below $4,000.
  • All Quick Pay funded accounts use intraday drawdown, whatever the evaluation type.
  • Evaluations are monthly subscriptions, so costs rise the longer it takes to pass.
  • Tier 1 data releases cannot be traded, and third party bots are prohibited.
  • Fast Pass payouts opened since 26 July 2026 are capped at $750 to $2,250 and need five profitable days.

Verdict

TradeDay's main strength is payout access on Quick Pay. Once funded, a trader can request from any positive balance with no buffer and no minimum period, and requests submitted before 5:30 pm ET are aimed to be processed by the next business day. The firm also publishes its evaluation pass rate, 36% between January and June 2026, and charges no activation fee.

The cost of that access is the split and the drawdown. Quick Pay pays only 50% of any payout taken while account profit is below $4,000, rising to 80% above that level, so early withdrawals are expensive. Every Quick Pay funded account uses an intraday trailing drawdown calculated on gross profit, even if the evaluation used end of day, and the limit keeps trailing after payouts until it reaches the starting balance. Quick Pay accounts are paused for a live review at $10,000 gross profit, and any profit above that level is forfeited.

Fast Pass is the alternative for traders who want end of day drawdown from start to finish and an 80/20 split from the first payout, but it adds a 45% consistency rule, five profitable days per cycle and caps of $750 to $2,250 for accounts opened since 26 July 2026. Both paths are monthly subscriptions, so a slow evaluation costs more over time.

Tier 1 releases such as FOMC, CPI and the jobs report cannot be traded, third party bots are banned, and Funded Live traders pay CME professional data fees of $156 a month per exchange. The restricted list is long and includes South Africa, Nigeria, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Turkey, and German citizens, and Canadian citizens or residents outside Ontario, can trade Funded Sim but are not eligible for Funded Live.

TradeDay suits patient intraday traders who value quick access to early profit, or who want an end of day structure throughout, and who do not trade scheduled news releases.

Payouts

Policy

  • Traders cannot make a withdrawal request until they have cleared the buffer.
  • Traders can draw down into the buffer when they have cleared the buffer
  • Minimum payout request is $250
  • Traders can withdraw profits whenever they like, and there are no restrictions on the frequency of withdrawals.
  • Traders cannot take a withdrawal until their Trailing Maximum Drawdown (TMD) has moved to the opening account balance. This is often referred to as having cleared the “”buffer.”

TradeDay offers profit split of:

  • 80% profit share on the first $50K of lifetime withdrawals
  • 90% profit share from $50K to $100K
  • 95% profit share beyond $100K
  • Buffer zone funds are available anytime but are subject to a 50% profit share

Questions about TradeDay

How much does TradeDay cost?

Evaluations are monthly subscriptions. List prices are $100 to $360 a month for Quick Pay with intraday drawdown, $120 to $400 for Quick Pay with end of day drawdown and $130 to $500 for Fast Pass, depending on account size. At the time of review the site showed 55% off these prices. Resets cost the same as the discounted monthly fee, and there is no activation fee after passing.

What is the difference between Quick Pay and Fast Pass?

Quick Pay needs five trading days and a 30% consistency ratio, then pays from day one with no buffer, at 50/50 below $4,000 of account profit and 80/20 above it. Its funded accounts always use intraday drawdown. Fast Pass needs three days and a 45% consistency ratio, keeps end of day drawdown when funded and pays 80/20 after five profitable days, with capped requests.

What drawdown does TradeDay use?

Quick Pay evaluations offer intraday or end of day trailing drawdown, while Fast Pass uses end of day throughout. Amounts are $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 and $4,500 by account size. The limit trails until it reaches the starting balance and then freezes. All Quick Pay funded accounts switch to an intraday drawdown based on gross profit, so it keeps trailing after payouts until it reaches that level.

How are TradeDay payouts paid?

Payouts are sent through Riseworks by bank wire or crypto. US bank wires are free, international wires cost $15 each, and layer one crypto withdrawals cost $2.50 plus gas fees, while layer two withdrawals are free. The minimum request is $250, and Quick Pay requests made before 5:30 pm ET are aimed to be processed by the next business day. Funded Live traders keep 90%.

Can I trade news at TradeDay?

No. Tier 1 releases, including FOMC statements and minutes, US CPI, the employment report, EIA inventories for energy contracts and crop reports for grains, are restricted. TradeDay liquidates open positions two minutes before these releases and reopens trading two minutes after. Accidental breaches do not fail an account, but repeated abuse can cost the account and any profits from such trades.

Can I use a trading bot at TradeDay?

Only if the trader built it. Automated systems can run on NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Jigsaw or Quantower, but bots bought from third parties are forbidden, TradeDay does not provide API access, and strategies that place more than 200 trades a day are not allowed. If several users make the same trades, all of their accounts are shut down and the users suspended.
