Challenge prices are often set in US dollars, and some Nigerian banks limit or suspend international spending on naira cards from time to time, so check your card's current foreign spending limit before you try to pay. Some banks also issue dollar cards linked to a domiciliary account. This is general information, not tax advice. The Nigeria Tax Act 2025 took effect on 1 January 2026 and replaced the Personal Income Tax Act. Under the new Act, the income of an individual resident in Nigeria is chargeable to tax wherever it arises and whether or not it is brought into Nigeria, so a payout from an overseas firm is within its scope. Payouts are paid by the firm under a contract rather than earned on assets you own, so they are commonly treated as income from a trade or business rather than as a capital gain. Personal income tax is collected by the internal revenue service of the state where you live, and the Nigeria Revenue Service, which replaced the Federal Inland Revenue Service, is the national tax authority. Record each payout in naira with the rate used, and check your position with your state revenue service or a qualified adviser. Prop firm income and tax explains the general principles.

The London and New York overlap, usually the busiest period for major currency pairs and US indices, falls from about 1pm to 5pm, and the Asian session runs overnight. A daily reset at 5pm New York time falls at 10pm or 11pm, so check which trading day a late evening trade counts towards.
