Three things that change the real cost
1. Monthly or one time
A $49 monthly evaluation costs $98 if you take two months to pass. A one time fee is fixed however long you take. If you trade part time, one time pricing is usually safer. Our guide to how long it takes to pass can help you estimate.
2. Activation fees
Some firms charge again when you pass, before your funded account starts: $149 at Topstep, $130 at Take Profit Trader (waived with this month’s code) and $99 at Apex. Most of the firms above charge nothing. Add the activation fee to the price before you compare.
3. How many attempts you need
Firms that publish pass rates report that roughly one evaluation in five or six passes. If that is you, the cost of getting funded is several evaluation fees, not one.
