Apex Trader Funding vs My Funded Futures
Apex Trader Funding and My Funded Futures both offer a 50K evaluation with a $2,000 end of day trailing drawdown, but they differ on price, deadlines, payout caps and automation.
Apex Trader Funding suits discretionary futures traders who can pass within 30 days, want 100% of each approved payout and plan to run many accounts, up to 20 at once. My Funded Futures suits traders who want a lower list price, no deadline on the evaluation, daily payout requests with no cap per request and the option to automate. Both firms use an end of day trailing drawdown on their 50K EOD plans, so the choice turns on cost, time limits, payout structure and trading rules.
All prices are list prices at the time of review in September 2026. Both firms run frequent discounts, and Apex in particular advertises coupon prices far below its list prices, so the checkout total is the figure to compare.

Rules and drawdown
Apex asks traders to choose a drawdown type at purchase. The EOD Trail version recalculates the $2,000 limit once a day at 4:59:59 pm ET from the closing balance and enforces it in real time. In the evaluation it keeps trailing on Tradovate but becomes fixed at the profit target balance on Rithmic and WealthCharts, and in the funded Performance Account it stops trailing at $50,100. The Intraday Trail version follows the peak balance, open profit included, and costs $249 at list plus an $89 activation fee.
My Funded Futures uses an end of day trailing limit of $2,000 in every 50K evaluation. Rapid EOD keeps it in the funded stage, where the account starts from a $0 balance and the limit locks once it reaches $100. The standard Rapid plan, also $209, switches to an intraday trailing limit once funded, which follows open profit and is harder to manage. The end of day drawdown guide covers the difference, and the drawdown calculator shows where the floor sits after each session.
Daily limits differ. Apex sets a soft $1,000 limit on the 50K EOD evaluation that liquidates positions and pauses trading until the 6 pm ET reset, and in the Performance Account a tiered limit starts at $1,000 and rises to $3,000 once profit reaches $6,000. Rapid EOD has no daily loss limit at either stage.
Consistency rules sit at opposite ends. Apex has none in the evaluation but applies a 50% rule in the Performance Account, so no single day may make up half or more of the profit since the last approved payout. Rapid EOD applies a 30% rule and a four day minimum in the evaluation and none once funded. The consistency rule calculator tests a set of daily results against either figure.
The time limit is the other sharp difference. Apex evaluations expire at 6 pm ET on day 30 after purchase, with no extensions or resets, and the Performance Account must be activated within seven days of passing. My Funded Futures sets no deadline but applies a seven calendar day inactivity rule. Position limits on 50K are six minis in the Apex evaluation and two to four in the Performance Account as it scales, against three minis or 30 micros on Rapid EOD.
News, holding and automation
Apex allows news trading with a normal directional strategy but bans chasing the market or placing orders on both sides of a release. My Funded Futures allows Tier 1 news trading in evaluations, but not on Rapid, Rapid EOD or Pro funded accounts. Positions must be flat before 4:59 pm ET at Apex, while My Funded Futures closes open positions automatically at 4:10 pm ET.
Automation is a clear dividing line. Apex bans automation and algorithms outright, along with hedging, high frequency trading and copying trades with other traders, although its WealthCharts platform includes a trade copier for a trader’s own accounts. My Funded Futures allows automated strategies that do not aim to exploit simulated fills, and permits copy trading across a trader’s own accounts through tools such as Tradesyncer or the Tradovate group copier. The EA and bot rules guide compares automation policies across firms.
Pricing, resets and activation fees
Both firms charge once with no monthly rebilling. Apex lists the 50K EOD at $590 and the 50K Intraday at $249 on the Standard version, plus a one time activation fee of $119 or $89 after passing, and No Activation Fee versions cost $1,190 and $799. At the time of review the Apex site showed a coupon that cut list prices to one tenth, with further discounts on packs of five. New evaluations cannot be reset. Level 1 data is included, while depth of market data is billed by the platform.
My Funded Futures charges $209 for Rapid or Rapid EOD 50K, $153 for Builder 50K, $125 for Builder with a $1,500 drawdown and $265 for Pro 50K, with no activation fee and no renewals. At the time of review the site showed 40% off with a code and 50% off a first evaluation for new traders. Reset prices and market data fees were not published on the pages reviewed.
Payouts
Apex pays 100% of each approved payout on its new Performance Accounts and states that it does not deny or manually review payouts that meet the rules. A request on the 50K EOD account needs five qualifying days with at least $250 profit each, a balance of $52,600 or more and at least $500 to withdraw. Requests can be as frequent as weekly, and the cap rises from $1,500 to $3,000 across the account’s life. After the sixth approved payout the account closes, so continuing means buying a new evaluation. Traders can hold up to 20 Performance Accounts per household.
My Funded Futures Rapid EOD pays 90/10. Once profit clears the $2,100 buffer, traders can request from $500 daily, with each later request unlocked by $500 of net profit since the last payout and no stated cap per request. Up to three Rapid EOD funded accounts can run at once. The firm says most payouts are approved automatically, with manual reviews taking 6 to 12 business hours, and pays through Riseworks by bank transfer or crypto, or by Plaid ACH for US traders. It reports that 19.97% of evaluation participants completed the objectives and that 39.2% of traders who reached the simulated funded stage earned at least one payout. The payout calculator compares take home pay at 100% and 90%.
