Apex Trader Funding Alternatives

Traders look beyond Apex Trader Funding mainly because of its limits: new evaluations expire 30 calendar days after purchase with no extensions or resets, and each Performance Account closes after six approved payouts, capped at $1,500 to $3,000 per request on 50K. Automation and algorithms are banned outright. List prices run from $249 to $590 for 50K plus an $89 or $119 activation fee on the Standard versions at list price on 1 October 2026, although the site often shows large coupons.

Each alternative offers futures evaluations on CME Group products and differs from Apex on at least one of those points. Prices are list prices at the time of review, and every firm runs frequent discounts.

Topstep

Topstep has no deadline: the Trading Combine is a monthly subscription that runs until the trader passes or cancels, with one free reset credit at each rebill. The 50K costs $49 a month on the Standard path plus $149 on passing, or $95 a month with no activation fee. The drawdown is end of day trailing in both the Combine and the funded account, and the split is 90/10, with each request limited to half the balance and capped at $2,000 on the 50K Standard path. Automation is possible through the TopstepX API at $29 a month. Trading runs on TopstepX, with a Quantower connection, and positions must be flat by 3:10 pm Central time. Topstep reports that 16.8% of Combines were completed in 2025, and Trustpilot shows 3.6 from 14,863 reviews. It suits traders who need more than 30 days to pass. See Apex vs Topstep.

Tradeify

Tradeify sells one time evaluations with no activation fee and no time limit, from $145 for Growth 50K, and resets are available from $60 on Growth. Every account uses end of day trailing drawdown. Growth payouts look much like Apex’s on 50K, at $1,500 rising to $3,000 per request with a $500 minimum, but at a 90% split. Bots are allowed if the trader can prove sole ownership, and three approved payouts qualify a trader for Tradeify Elite live accounts. Platforms include Tradovate with NinjaTrader and TradingView, Rithmic platforms and WealthCharts, and Trustpilot shows 4.4 from 4,858 reviews. It suits traders who want a one time fee without a deadline. See Apex Trader Funding vs Tradeify.

My Funded Futures

My Funded Futures charges once, with no activation fee and no renewals, and states no time limit, although a 7 day inactivity rule applies. Rapid 50K costs $209 and pays 90/10 with daily payout requests once profit clears a $2,100 buffer; Rapid EOD, at the same price, keeps end of day drawdown when funded and states no cap per request. Builder costs $153 and allows five simulated payouts before a move to live. Automated strategies are allowed if they do not aim to exploit simulated fills, but Tier 1 news trading is not allowed on Rapid funded accounts. Platforms include Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, Quantower and ATAS, and Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 22,049 reviews. It suits traders who want frequent payouts and room to automate.

Take Profit Trader

Take Profit Trader removes the payout limits that shape Apex accounts. Its PRO accounts can withdraw on any day from the first, with no payout window and no maximum amount, once the balance clears a buffer of the starting balance plus the drawdown. The trade offs are a monthly fee of $170 for 50K plus a $130 activation fee, an 80% split, an intraday trailing drawdown on PRO and a ban on bots, as at Apex. The test has no time limit, more than a dozen platforms are supported through CQG and Rithmic, and Trustpilot shows 4.4 from 10,720 reviews. The firm reports that 36.22% of tests taken in 2025 were passed. It suits manual traders who want uncapped withdrawals. See Topstep vs Take Profit Trader.

TradeDay

TradeDay bills monthly with no activation fee and no time limit, from $131 for 50K Quick Pay Intraday. Quick Pay funded accounts can be paid from the first funded day with no buffer, but the split is 50% until profit reaches $4,000, and accounts are paused for a live review at $10,000 of gross profit, with profit above that level forfeited. Fast Pass, from $189 a month, keeps end of day drawdown and pays 80%. Automation is allowed if the trader built it, on supported platforms including NinjaTrader and TradingView. TradeDay reports a 36% evaluation pass rate for January to June 2026, and Trustpilot shows 4.6 from 1,440 reviews. It suits traders who want early payouts and a path to a live account.

How to choose

If the 30 day expiry is the problem, all five alternatives remove it. If the six payout limit is the problem, Take Profit Trader sets no maximum amount and My Funded Futures Rapid EOD states no cap per request, while Tradeify, My Funded Futures Builder and TradeDay offer defined routes to live accounts. If automation is the problem, Tradeify, My Funded Futures and TradeDay allow it within their rules, and Topstep allows it through a paid API. If price matters most, Tradeify Growth at $145 and My Funded Futures Builder at $153 carry the lowest one time list prices among these firms for 50K, while Topstep’s Standard path starts lowest among the monthly options.

Check the funded drawdown before buying, since some plans switch to intraday trailing once funded, as explained in futures prop firm drawdown rules.
