FundedNext vs The5ers
FundedNext and The5ers set the same 8% and 5% targets on a $100K two step, but they differ on price, loss limits, news rules, automation and how payouts and scaling work.
FundedNext suits traders who want more loss room on a $100K two step, a written 24 hour payout promise and a choice of payout schedules, and who can work within a 3% open risk cap once funded. The5ers suits patient traders who want a lower list price, a longer operating record and a scaling plan that lifts the split to 100% with fixed monthly payments at the top. Both firms set the same 8% and 5% targets on these accounts, so the choice turns on loss limits, news rules, payout terms and how each account grows.
All prices are list prices at the time of review in September 2026. Both firms price in US dollars and run frequent discounts.

Rules and drawdown
Both firms fix the maximum loss from the starting balance, so it does not trail profit. The size differs. FundedNext allows 10% on the Stellar 2 Step, which puts the floor of a $100K account at $90,000. The5ers allows 8% on its $50K and $100K High Stakes accounts, a floor of $92,000, while its smaller High Stakes sizes keep 10%. Profit left in The5ers account widens the room above the floor. The trailing vs static drawdown guide explains why a fixed floor is easier to plan around.
The daily limits are also set differently. FundedNext uses 5% and counts swap charges towards the daily loss. The5ers uses 4% on $100K, measured from the higher of the previous day’s closing balance or equity at midnight server time, so open profit at the close raises the reference point for the next day. The drawdown calculator shows how much room each rule leaves on a given day.
The targets match at 8% and then 5%. FundedNext asks for a five day minimum, while The5ers needs three profitable days of at least 0.5% of the initial balance in each step. Neither sets a time limit, although The5ers closes evaluation accounts after 30 days without activity and funded High Stakes accounts after 60.
Each firm sells cheaper versions. FundedNext Stellar Lite costs $399.99 for $100K with targets of 8% and 4% and limits of 4% daily and 8% overall, which is close to The5ers’ limits at a lower price. The5ers High Stakes New costs $405 for $100K with a 10% first target. For one step traders, the FundedNext Stellar 1 Step costs $569.99 for $100K with a 10% target, a 3% daily limit and a 6% static limit, while The5ers Pro Growth reaches $50,000 at $329 with the same 10% target and 3% and 6% limits. The5ers also runs Bootcamp, a three step evaluation where most of the fee is paid on funding.
News, holding and automation
News rules work differently. FundedNext allows news trading in every challenge phase. On funded accounts only 40% of the profit from trades opened or closed within five minutes of listed high impact news on a correlated instrument counts, while losses count in full. The5ers High Stakes bars order execution from two minutes before to two minutes after high impact news and deducts the profit from such trades, although holding a position through the release is allowed. The news trading rules guide compares these approaches across firms.
Both firms allow overnight and weekend holding on their challenge and funded accounts, and The5ers notes that indices held over the weekend carry high swaps. FundedNext caps open risk on funded accounts at 3% of the account at any time, deducts profit from breaches and cuts the limit to 1% after a second breach.
Automation is where the gap is widest. FundedNext allows expert advisors only on MetaTrader accounts below $50,000, with a paid add on, so a $100K Stellar account must be traded manually. The5ers allows expert advisors on its programmes if the trader owns the source code and the EA does not copy others’ signals or use high frequency, latency or arbitrage methods.
Pricing and fee refunds
The5ers is cheaper at list price, at $455 for High Stakes Classic and $405 for New, against $549.99 for the FundedNext Stellar 2 Step. US clients see different FundedNext prices, with the $100K 2 Step at $529.99. FundedNext adds 1% on PayPal and crypto payments and 3% on Skrill.
Refunds work differently. FundedNext returns the Stellar 2 Step fee in full with the first reward. The5ers returns the High Stakes fee in stages, with 10% as hub credit after step 1, 20% as hub credit after step 2 and 70% in cash with the first payout.
Payouts
FundedNext’s standard option pays the first reward after 21 days and then every 14 days at 80%. Traders can instead choose three winning day rewards at 60%, or on demand rewards at 90% with a 40% best day rule, and a paid Lifetime Reward add on lifts the share to 95%. FundedNext promises to process rewards within 24 hours or add $1,000 to the payout, with bank transfers and manually reviewed requests excluded, and charges a processing fee of up to 3.5%. Minimums start at $20 in stablecoins, $50 through RiseWorks and $1,000 by bank transfer.
The5ers pays the first High Stakes payout 14 days after the funded account is activated and then every 14 days, processed in up to three business days. On $100K the minimum is $500 and each payout is capped at $4,000. Payouts by Rise, crypto or bank transfer carry a 3.5% commission, while payouts taken as hub credits do not. The payout calculator shows what each split and fee leaves the trader.
The scaling plans differ in shape. On challenges bought from 12 January 2026, FundedNext adds 25% to the balance through FundedNext Pro after four rewards with at least 4% growth in each and two months of trading, up to $4 million, with the split rising to 90%. The5ers scales High Stakes accounts at each 10% target reached with three profitable days, up to $500,000, with the split rising through 85% and 90% to 100% and fixed monthly payments of $4,000 from $350,000 and $10,000 at $500,000. The scaling plans guide explains how these schedules compare.
