E8 One Explained
E8 One is a one phase challenge from E8 Markets in which the buyer chooses the drawdown and payout share, and the target and daily limit scale with them.
E8 One is the most configurable challenge at E8 Markets. It is a single phase with no time limit that can be passed in one day, and the buyer sets the maximum drawdown and the payout share at checkout; the profit target and daily loss limit follow from the drawdown. On the default $100,000 setup the target is $9,000, the dynamic drawdown $6,000 and the daily loss limit $4,000, with an 80% share and a list price of $488.
How E8 One works
The same drawdown and daily limit apply in the challenge and on the Performance account, which has no target but adds the payout and news rules below. The drawdown is dynamic: it rises each time a trade closes at a new highest balance, stays put otherwise, and locks permanently once it reaches the initial balance. Open profit does not move it. The daily loss limit is measured from the day’s starting balance. There is no consistency rule in the challenge, and at least one trade must be opened and closed every 60 days.
| Drawdown chosen, $100,000 account | Profit target | Daily loss limit | List price at 80% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4%, $4,000 | $6,000 | $3,000 | $398 |
| 6%, $6,000 | $9,000 | $4,000 | $488 |
| 8%, $8,000 | $12,000 | $5,300 | $586 |
| 10%, $10,000 | $15,000 | $6,600 | $684 |
| 14%, $14,000 | $21,000 | $9,200 | $879 |
The target is always one and a half times the drawdown, so a wider drawdown means more room but a larger target and a higher price. The payout share can be raised from 80% to 90% or 100% for a higher fee: $547 or $606 on the 6% setup.
Rules on the Performance account
- Best day rule: no single day may be more than 40% of total profit when a payout is requested. In practice the earliest first payout comes three days into the Performance stage.
- Minimum payout profit: net profit must be more than half of the daily loss limit, so above $2,000 on the 6% setup.
- News: trades may not be opened or closed, including stop loss, take profit and stop orders, from five minutes before to five minutes after high impact news, and profits made in that window may be removed. The challenge has no news restriction.
Leverage is 1:30 on forex, 1:15 on indices and metals and 1:1 on crypto on Classic Markets. Overnight and weekend holding is allowed, and copy trading between a trader’s own accounts is permitted.
Worked example
The figures below describe a made up $100,000 E8 One on the 6% setup. They illustrate the rules only.
In the challenge, the trader closes $3,000 of profit, taking the balance to $103,000 and the drawdown floor to $97,000. A $4,000 winner takes the balance to $107,000; the floor would move to $101,000, but it locks at the $100,000 initial balance. A further $2,000 reaches the $9,000 target and the challenge is passed.
On the Performance account the trader makes $1,500, $1,800 and $1,700 over three days. Total profit is $5,000, the best day is 36% of it, and $5,000 is above the $2,000 minimum, so a payout can be requested. The balance is $105,000 and the floor has risen to $99,000. Because the floor does not reset after a payout, the amount taken decides how much room is left.
| Request | New balance | Floor | Room left | Trader receives at 80% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $3,000 | $102,000 | $99,000 | $3,000 | $2,400 |
| $5,000, all profit | $100,000 | $99,000 | $1,000 | $4,000 |
E8 allows a full withdrawal when profit is below the drawdown amount, but it leaves only $1,000 of room, and E8’s own guidance is to keep 2% to 3% in the account after each payout. The daily loss limit is recalculated from the new balance after a payout. The drawdown calculator, consistency rule calculator and payout calculator rerun these figures for other settings.
Costs and payout terms
List prices for the default 6% drawdown and 80% share, shown on e8markets.com on 1 October 2026, were as follows. At that time a code gave 10% off a first order.
| Account size | List price | Account size | List price |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $48 | $100,000 | $488 |
| $10,000 | $88 | $200,000 | $798 |
| $25,000 | $188 | $400,000 | $1,598 |
| $50,000 | $288 | $500,000 | $1,998 |
There is no activation fee. Payouts have no fixed schedule and no cap on E8 One. The minimum is $100 received, so $125 requested at an 80% share. E8 reports a median of 11 hours from request to approval and 24 hours to funds arriving between January and May 2026, although it can take up to five business days and requests are not processed at weekends. Payouts go only through WorkMarket, Rise or, for US clients, Aeropay; E8 charges no fee, but the provider may, and a trader who cannot pass the provider’s checks cannot be paid. Firms change their terms often, so confirm the current version before buying.
How it compares with E8’s other products
| $100,000 default setup | E8 One | E8 Pro | E8 Signature |
|---|---|---|---|
| List price | $488 | $468 | $280 |
| Profit target | $9,000 | $6,000 | $6,000 |
| Maximum loss | $6,000 dynamic | $6,000 static | $3,000 end of day dynamic |
| Daily limit | $4,000 | $2,500, and only $2,000 of profit counts per day | None in the challenge, $2,000 pause when funded |
| Payout rule | 40% best day, on demand | Daily, from 1% profit, no consistency rule | 35% best day, five profitable days between payouts, capped |
E8 One offers the widest choice of risk settings and uncapped payouts, at the cost of a larger target than E8 Pro and the news restriction once funded. E8 Pro suits traders who make steady daily gains and want daily payouts, since any day above 2% is counted only up to 2%. E8 Signature is the cheapest route but has the tightest drawdown, closes positions at 23:00 server time and caps each payout. For E8 against other firms, see FTMO vs E8 Markets and the E8 Markets review.
Common mistakes
- Choosing the widest drawdown by default. The target and price rise with it.
- Taking all the profit out. The floor stays where it was, so the room shrinks by the amount withdrawn.
- Trading the news window once funded. Profits from that window may be removed.
- Relying on one big funded day. The 40% best day rule delays the payout until profit catches up.
- Skipping the payout provider checks. Without WorkMarket, Rise or Aeropay onboarding, no payout can be sent.
Checklist
- Pick a drawdown setting that suits your usual stop sizes and daily range.
- Decide whether a higher payout share is worth the extra fee.
- Track the floor after each closing trade until it locks.
- Check the high impact news calendar before trading the Performance account.
- Plan how much buffer to leave after each payout.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the E8 One rules?
On the default $100,000 setup, E8 One asks for a $9,000 profit target with a $6,000 dynamic drawdown that locks at the initial balance and a $4,000 daily loss limit measured from the day's starting balance. There is no time limit and no minimum days. Once funded, a 40% best day rule and a high impact news window apply to payouts and trading.
Can I change the drawdown on E8 One?
Yes. At checkout the buyer chooses the maximum drawdown, and the target and daily limit follow from it. On a $100,000 account the choices ran from 4% to 14% on 1 October 2026, with targets from $6,000 to $21,000 and list prices from $398 to $879 at an 80% share. The payout share can also be raised to 90% or 100% for a higher fee.
How does the E8 One dynamic drawdown work?
The floor sits a fixed distance below the highest closed balance. Each time a trade closes at a new high, the floor moves up by the same amount; open profit does not move it and it never moves down. It locks permanently at the initial balance. After a payout the floor stays where it was, so the room to trade falls by the amount withdrawn.
When can I get paid on E8 One?
Payouts are on demand once the Performance account meets the 40% best day rule and net profit is more than half of the daily loss limit. E8 says the earliest first payout is three days into the Performance stage. E8 reported a median of 11 hours to approval and 24 hours to funds arriving between January and May 2026.
Can I trade news on E8 One?
In the challenge, yes, without restriction. On the Performance account, trades may not be opened or closed, including stop loss, take profit and stop orders, from five minutes before to five minutes after high impact news, and profits made in that window may be removed. E8 Pro and E8 Signature allow news trading at every stage.
