TradePath Funding Interview: Reece Watkins on Publishing Every Rule Before You Pay

TradePath Funding is one of the newer names in prop trading, and one of the more ambitious. From a single dashboard it offers FX and CFDs, futures, equities and prediction markets, and it makes a point of publishing every rule before you pay. We added TradePath to our firm profiles this week and sent its founder, Reece Watkins, our questions. His answers are below, along with what we checked on TradePath’s own site on 5 November 2026.

The interview

What’s the story behind TradePath, and why launch now?

“I’ve been in this industry for nearly seven years, across prop trading and brokerage operations. I’ve worked on the risk side, written trading rules, reviewed payouts and helped run funded trader programmes. Over that time I kept seeing the same things go wrong. Rules were hidden in the small print, terms changed after people had paid, and traders never felt sure they’d actually get their money. Eventually I thought, I know how this should be done, so I’ll build it myself. That’s TradePath.

“On timing, the industry has just been through a big shakeout. A lot of firms have closed and a lot of traders have been burned. That makes it the right moment for a firm that publishes everything upfront and treats paying traders as an obligation rather than a negotiation.”

Which markets and platforms do you support, and what’s coming next?

“We cover four markets under one roof: FX and CFDs, futures, equities and prediction markets. Most firms specialise in one. We wanted a trader to be able to move between markets without changing firm, dashboard or rulebook mindset.

“On platforms, we’re on cTrader and PropX for FX, DXtrade, Rithmic, Volumetrica and Tickblaze for futures, and TradingView charting is built in. Prediction markets are the part I’m most excited about. You’re trading Yes or No on real world events, and hardly anyone in prop offers that. Next, we’re building out our loyalty programme and more free tools for traders on the site.”

Our check: TradePath’s FX and CFD page also lists DXtrade and Match Trader for FX accounts. On the futures page, the One Step Futures plan runs on DXFutures and Tickblaze, and the Funded Futures plan adds Rithmic and Volumetrica, whose platform is Deep Charts.

How do your evaluation rules differ from the market standard?

“The biggest difference is that every rule is published before you pay, and the rules you buy are the rules you trade under. We don’t change anything halfway through.

“On the FX side, we’ve removed a lot of the friction traders hate. Max drawdown is static, so it doesn’t trail you. There are no minimum trading days and no time limits, you don’t need a stop loss, and EAs are allowed. On futures, our Funded Futures plan pays you at every phase from Phase 1, so you’re earning while you’re still proving yourself. We also distinguish clearly between a soft breach, where we close the trade and you carry on, and a hard breach that ends the account. Traders know exactly where the line is before they start.”

Our check: all of this matches the site. On a $100,000 One Step the floor is $94,000 and stays there however far the account grows. Hard breaches are the daily loss limit, the maximum drawdown and 30 days without a trade. The Funded Futures plan pays $500 to $3,000 at the end of Phase 1, depending on size.

How quickly do you pay out, and what do traders need to have in place first?

“It depends on the account, and every plan’s schedule is published upfront. Prediction markets pay every seven days. Equities and Instant Funding Lite pay every 14 days. On our one step and two step FX accounts, you can take your first payout as soon as you’re funded, then every 30 days, or every 14 days if you take the bi weekly add on. Once a request is in, it’s often processed within 24 hours, and we tell people to allow up to 48 business hours.

“As for what you need, there are five conditions. You’re funded, the account is compliant with no open positions, any profit buffer is cleared, any consistency requirement is met, and your KYC and trader agreement are done. That’s the full list. If it isn’t on that list, we can’t use it to turn a payout down. My advice to anyone is to get KYC done early, because it’s the easiest delay to avoid.”

Our check: the same five conditions are on TradePath’s payouts page, which says nothing outside them can be used to decline a payout. Payouts are processed Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm New York time.

How do you check that funded traders are trading genuinely?

“Prohibited practices are written into the rules from day one, so a violation is a rule breach, not a judgement call made after the fact. Every funded trader is identity verified before they’re paid, and some protections are built into the products themselves. Examples include a window either side of news, a minimum hold time on equities and a cap on profit per event in prediction markets.

“The part I care about most is that if we act on an account, the trader sees the decision with the market data behind it. They shouldn’t have to take our word for it. They should be able to check it themselves.”

What feedback from traders has changed how you run the firm?

“The biggest complaint I’ve heard over the years is that traders only find out the real rules when they ask for a payout. That one complaint shaped the whole firm. It’s why everything is on the site before checkout, and why our payout conditions are a fixed list rather than a vague policy.

“The other recurring complaint was traders losing gains on a breach without really understanding why. So we wrote out exactly how breaches and payout locks work, with worked examples, and we added Payout Protector for traders who want to keep their share of gains even if a funded account breaches.”

Our check: Payout Protector costs 25% of the plan price and has to be chosen at checkout. The account still closes on a breach, but you are paid your share of the gains in it.

How do you protect traders if regulation in the industry tightens?

“We built TradePath to meet the standard regulators are heading towards, not the minimum the industry gets away with today. We’re clear about what the product is. It’s a simulated evaluation, with the live funded futures account as the one exception, and we don’t blur that in our marketing. We make no income claims, our affiliates have to disclose paid partnerships, and our risk disclosures are on every page.

“Structurally, we’re an incorporated Hong Kong company running on FPFX Tech, which supports firms across multiple jurisdictions and has KYC and AML checks built in. If a market changes its rules, we can adjust what we offer there without disrupting the rest of the business. For traders, the key point is that rules are locked at purchase. If regulation forces a change, it applies to new accounts going forward, and nobody’s existing account gets rewritten.

“Honestly, I welcome it. Tighter regulation pushes out the firms that rely on hidden rules and vague terms, and it rewards the ones that were already doing it properly.”

Our check: TradePath’s site says all assessment accounts and most funded accounts are simulated, and the account that follows the four Funded Futures phases is a live, cash backed brokerage account. Our guide to simulated and live capital explains the difference.

What makes a TradePath trader successful in the long run?

“Protecting the account. The traders who last aren’t the ones who hit the target fastest. They know their rules, size their positions sensibly and trade the same way on day thirty as on day one. Most assessments fail, and I’d rather say that openly, because traders who understand the odds make better decisions. My advice is to treat the assessment like it’s already a funded account. Consistency is what gets you paid, so one big day won’t carry you.”

Where do you want TradePath to be in two years?

“I want us to have a long, public payout record that anyone can check, and a reputation that comes from traders rather than adverts. I want all four markets running at full depth and recognition on the independent review platforms that only list firms with real history. Most of all, if someone in a trading group asks which firm actually pays and plays fair, I want TradePath to be the first name mentioned.”

Source: TradePath’s plans page, 5 November 2026. The FX Two Step is the cheapest way in, from $29.99 for $5K, and a $100K Two Step lists at $459.99, or $321.99 with SELECTPROP. The $100K One Step lists at $759.99, or $531.99 with the code. The One Step Futures plan is a monthly subscription from $159.99. Prediction accounts trade Yes or No contracts priced in line with Polymarket, and profit from any one event is capped at 0.5% of the account.

What we like

  • Static drawdown on the FX One Step and Two Step, with no minimum days and no time limit.
  • A first FX payout as soon as you are funded, and a short, published list of payout conditions.
  • Four markets under one login, including prediction markets, which few prop firms offer.
  • Rules are fixed at purchase, and soft and hard breaches are spelled out.
  • Low entry prices: the Two Step starts at $29.99, and SELECTPROP takes 30% off every plan.

What to weigh up

  • TradePath is new. It had no published payouts and no Trustpilot reviews when we checked on 5 November 2026, so there is no track record to judge yet. Starting with a smaller account and taking an early payout is a sensible way in.
  • Lock Upon Payout is on by default, so after your first payout the drawdown floor is fixed at the starting balance unless you buy the Remove Lock add on.
  • The 90% split, bi weekly payouts and Payout Protector all cost extra.
  • Purchases are not refunded and accounts cannot be reset.

Our take

TradePath reads like a firm built by someone who has seen the inside of the industry. The rules are clear and easy to find, the payout conditions are short and published, and the prices are fair. Most importantly, what Reece told us lines up with what is on the site. The one thing TradePath cannot offer yet is history, and Reece is the first to say so. If its public payout record grows the way he plans, TradePath could become one of the more trusted names in the space. For now it is well worth a look, especially for FX traders who want static drawdown and quick access to a first payout. The Two Step is the easiest place to start: a $100K account costs $321.99 with SELECTPROP, with an 8% then 5% target and a 7% static drawdown.
