FundedNext Lite and Instant Accounts Explained

Stellar Lite and Stellar Instant are the two lower cost routes into a FundedNext account. Stellar Lite is a two phase challenge with targets of 8% and 4%, a 4% daily loss limit and an 8% static maximum loss, priced from $32.99 for $5,000. Stellar Instant has no evaluation at all: the trader buys a funded account of $2,000 to $20,000, with no daily loss limit, a 6% trailing maximum loss that stops at the starting balance and a reward share that starts at 70%.

How Stellar Lite works

Lite follows the same pattern as the Stellar 2 Step with tighter numbers. Phase 1 asks for 8% and phase 2 for 4%, each with at least five trading days and at least one trade on each of them. There is no time limit. The daily loss limit is 4% of the initial balance, reset at 00:00 server time, and the balance or equity may never fall below 92% of the initial balance. FundedNext also lists an add on that raises the maximum loss to 10%.

Once funded, the limits stay at 4% and 8%, and the payout option chosen at checkout sets the reward share: 80% on the standard option, paid first after 21 days and then every 14 days; 60% on the three day option; or 90% on demand once the account is 2% up and the best day is no more than 40% of total profit. The fee comes back with the third reward. Lite does not earn the 15% reward on the challenge target that the 2 Step and 1 Step carry, and FundedNext says it is not part of the FundedNext Pro programme. It follows the standard scale up plan instead, which looks for 10% growth over four consecutive months, at least two rewards and a profitable final cycle, and adds 40% to the balance, up to $4 million. The funded rules on news, open risk and very short trades are the same as on the rest of the Stellar range: 40% of profit from trades in the news window counts, open risk is capped at 3% of the initial balance, and profit from trades closed within 30 seconds must stay below 30% of a cycle’s profit.

How Stellar Instant works

Stellar Instant is sold in four sizes and is active as soon as it is bought. There is no profit target, no minimum trading days and no consistency rule. The only loss limit is a 6% trailing maximum loss. It starts 6% below the starting balance, rises as profit builds and never falls, but stops once it reaches the starting balance. It does not reset after a reward, so once it has locked, every withdrawal brings the balance closer to it.

Rewards need at least 1% growth. With 5% or more at the end of day check, the trader can transfer the reward on demand, until the next trade is placed; between 1% and 5%, the reward becomes available 14 days after the cycle starts. The share is 70% in tiers 1 and 2 and 80% from tier 3. To move up a tier, the trader needs at least one withdrawal in the current tier and disbursed rewards worth at least 10% of that tier’s starting balance. Each tier adds the original account size to the balance, up to ten times the starting size, and scaling can continue from there to $2 million. A trader can hold at most $20,000 of Instant accounts at a time, and accounts cannot be merged. The plan page lists the same 40% news profit share and 3% open risk cap as the other Stellar models.

Worked example

The figures below describe a made up $10,000 Stellar Instant account. They show how the trailing floor and withdrawals interact and are not a forecast.

Step Balance Maximum loss level Room to the floor
Start $10,000 $9,400 $600
Trade closes $300 up $10,300 $9,700 $600
Trade closes $200 down $10,100 $9,700 $400
Trade closes $500 up $10,600 $10,000, now locked $600
$400 of profit withdrawn, $280 paid at 70% $10,200 $10,000 $200

At $10,600 the account is 6% up, so the reward can be taken on demand at the end of the day. Withdrawing all $600 would put the balance back on the locked floor, and FundedNext’s scale up article warns that taking the full eligible amount can breach the account. Leaving $200 in keeps the account alive, but only 2% of room remains for the next trade. To reach tier 2 the trader needs $1,000 of disbursed rewards in tier 1, which at 70% means withdrawing about $1,430 of profit, all while protecting that thin cushion. The drawdown calculator and payout calculator help test other paths.

Lite shows a different trade off. A $50,000 Lite at $229.99 needs $4,000 and then $2,000, allows a $2,000 daily loss and has a floor at $46,000. A $50,000 Stellar 2 Step at $299.99 needs $4,000 and then $2,500, allows $2,500 a day and has a floor at $45,000. The $70 saving buys a smaller second target but $1,000 less total room and $500 less each day.

Costs and payout terms

List prices shown on fundednext.com on 1 October 2026 were as follows. Swap free versions cost more, and discounts shown at checkout can change the price paid.

Model Account size List price
Stellar Lite $5,000 $32.99
Stellar Lite $10,000 $59.99
Stellar Lite $25,000 $139.99
Stellar Lite $50,000 $229.99
Stellar Lite $100,000 $399.99
Stellar Lite $200,000 $798.99
Stellar Instant $2,000 $59.99
Stellar Instant $5,000 $149.99
Stellar Instant $10,000 $299.99
Stellar Instant $20,000 $599.99

The Instant fee is never refunded, and a reset costs 10% less than the original price. Lite resets are also discounted by about 10%. Instant leverage is 1:30 on forex, 1:7.5 on commodities, 1:5 on indices, 1:2 on stock CFDs and 1:1 on crypto, and expert advisors are allowed on MetaTrader for an extra fee. For both models, FundedNext says rewards are processed within 24 hours or $1,000 is added, excluding bank transfers and requests under manual review; the payment provider may charge up to 3.5%, and crypto payouts start at $20. Firms change their terms often, so confirm the current version before buying.

How they compare with FundedNext’s other models

Model Evaluation Daily and maximum loss Starting share Fee refund
Stellar Lite 8%, then 4% 4% and 8% static 80%, or 60% or 90% by option Third reward
Stellar Instant None None and 6% trailing 70%, 80% from tier 3 None
Stellar 2 Step 8%, then 5% 5% and 10% static 80%, or 60% or 90% by option First reward
Stellar 1 Step 10% 3% and 6% static 80% Third reward

Lite suits a trader who wants the two phase structure at the lowest entry price and can work inside a 4% daily limit. Instant suits a trader who would rather pay more for a small account than spend weeks in an evaluation, but its trailing floor leaves little room, and the fee buys less capital: $599.99 buys $20,000 of Instant against $100,000 of Lite for $399.99. The general case for each route is set out in instant funding vs evaluation, and the firm as a whole in the FundedNext review.

Common mistakes

  • Withdrawing everything from Instant. Once the floor locks at the starting balance, profit left in the account is the only room to trade.
  • Opening a trade before transferring. On Instant, placing a trade disables the on demand transfer until the next end of day check.
  • Sizing Lite like the 2 Step. The same lot size uses a larger share of a 4% daily limit.
  • Expecting the 15% challenge reward on Lite. Lite does not carry it.
  • Buying several Instant accounts. Total Instant allocation is capped at $20,000 at any time.

Checklist

  • Compare the dollar room of the Lite limits with the 2 Step at the same size.
  • Pick the Lite payout option before paying.
  • On Instant, track the floor after every closed trade.
  • Decide how much profit to leave in an Instant account after each reward.
  • Count disbursed rewards against 10% of the tier’s starting balance.
  • Confirm the current price and any discount at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between FundedNext Stellar Lite and Stellar 2 Step?

Both are two phase challenges. Lite asks for 8% and then 4%, with a 4% daily loss limit and an 8% static maximum loss, and costs less. The 2 Step asks for 8% and then 5%, with limits of 5% and 10%. Lite refunds the fee with the third reward rather than the first, and it does not carry the 15% reward on the challenge target.

Does FundedNext Stellar Instant have a daily loss limit?

No. Stellar Instant has no daily loss limit. Its only loss limit is a 6% trailing maximum loss, which starts 6% below the starting balance, rises as the balance grows and stops once it reaches the starting balance. It does not reset after a reward, so withdrawals reduce the room between the balance and the floor.

When can I withdraw from a FundedNext Instant account?

A reward needs at least 1% growth. If the account is 5% or more up at the end of day check, the reward can be transferred on demand, until the next trade is placed. Between 1% and 5% growth, the reward becomes available 14 days after the cycle starts. The share is 70% in tiers 1 and 2 and 80% from tier 3.

How does the Stellar Instant account scale?

To move up a tier, a trader needs at least one withdrawal in the current tier and disbursed rewards worth at least 10% of the tier's starting balance. Each tier adds the original account size, up to ten times the starting balance, and scaling can then continue to $2 million. The reward share rises from 70% to 80% at tier 3.

Is the Stellar Lite fee refundable?

Yes. The Lite fee is returned with the third performance reward from the FundedNext Account, and the trader has to request it with that withdrawal. After a reset, the refund equals the reset fee paid rather than the original price. The Stellar Instant fee is not refundable, because there is no evaluation to pass.
