Eightcap Challenges review
Eightcap Challenges is the prop trading arm of the Eightcap broker group, run by Eightcap International Ltd in Seychelles outside the group's regulated services. Traders can choose a One Phase challenge with a 10% target, 4% daily and 8% static maximum loss, or a Two Phase with 9% and 5% targets, 5% daily and 10% static, from $5,000 to $200,000 for $59 to $1,299, on MT4, MT5, TradeLocker or TradingView. Funded traders keep 80%, or 90% with an add on, every 14 days. Read the payout rules carefully: profit is capped each cycle at 5% of the balance on One Phase and 10% on Two Phase, the account resets after each payout, and bank payouts cost $50. Trustpilot has removed the rating of eightcap.com over a guideline breach.
Suits
Traders who want a broker backed challenge on TradingView or MT4 with static drawdown, and accept capped payouts each cycle.
Less suited to
You expect to withdraw large profits in one cycle, want free bank payouts, or rely on independent review scores.
Pros
- Backed by the Eightcap broker group.
- MT4, MT5, TradeLocker and TradingView.
- Static maximum loss on both plans, and no time limit.
- Weekend holding allowed.
Cons
- Red flag: profit per payout cycle capped at 5% (One Phase) or 10% (Two Phase), with the account reset after each payout.
- Red flag: Trustpilot has removed the eightcap.com rating over a guideline breach.
- $50 fee on bank payouts and 1% on crypto.
- Profit distribution rule excludes big days from payouts.
- Seychelles entity outside the group's regulated services.
Verdict
Eightcap Challenges has real strengths: the backing of an established broker group, a choice of four platforms including TradingView, static drawdowns on both plans, no time limit and weekend holding allowed. Prices are in line with the market, from $59 for a $5K Two Phase.
The payout terms are the problem. Each payout cycle is capped at 5% of the starting balance on One Phase and 10% on Two Phase, the account resets to its starting balance after every payout, and any profit above the cap is lost. A profit distribution rule also excludes profit from any day above 30% (One Phase) or 50% (Two Phase) of the payout. Bank payouts cost $50 and crypto 1%, and payouts need 7 trading days on One Phase.
Red flags: Trustpilot has removed the rating of eightcap.com, where challenge reviews are posted, for a guideline breach, and challenge reviews from June to October 2026 repeatedly mention hidden rules and capped payouts. The firm sits in Seychelles outside the group's regulated entities.
Eightcap Challenges may suit traders who want a broker backed firm on TradingView and are comfortable with capped, reset style payouts. Traders who want to keep large profits should look elsewhere.
