FXIFY vs FTMO

FXIFY suits traders who want an early first payout, a choice of one, two and three phase models, DXtrade or TradingView, and a scaling plan that can double the account more than once. FTMO suits traders who want a static 10% floor on the standard two step, a 5% daily limit, platforms that include MetaTrader 4 and cTrader, and access for US clients through an affiliated entity. The two firms set the same 10% and 5% targets on a $100K two step at similar list prices, so the choice turns on drawdown type, payout timing and platforms.

All prices are list prices at the time of review in September 2026. FXIFY prices in US dollars and FTMO in euros, and both run frequent discounts.

Rules and drawdown

Both products allow a 10% maximum loss, but they measure it differently. FTMO’s is static, fixed from the initial balance and measured on equity, so a $100K account fails at $90,000 however much profit is made. FXIFY’s Two Phase Standard trails the highest closed balance and only locks at the starting balance once the account is 10% in profit or after a payout. Until then, closed profit lifts the floor. The trailing vs static drawdown guide explains why this matters in the early weeks, and the drawdown calculator shows where each floor sits.

FXIFY’s Two Phase Classic, also $549 for $100K, uses a 10% static limit and a 4% daily limit, pays 80% every 14 days or 100% with monthly payouts, and applies a 25% best day rule on the funded account. It is the closer match for traders who want FTMO’s fixed floor.

Daily limits differ in size and base. FTMO sets a fixed 5% of the initial balance, deducted from the balance at midnight Central European time. FXIFY sets 4% of the previous day’s end of day balance, recorded at 5 pm EST. FXIFY needs five trading days in each phase and FTMO four, and neither sets a time limit.

Both firms sell a one step. The FTMO 1 Step costs €499 for $100K, with a 10% target, a 3% daily limit, a 10% maximum loss that trails the highest end of day balance, a 50% best day rule and a 90% split. The FXIFY One Phase costs $549, with a 10% target, a 3% daily limit, a 6% maximum loss that trails the closed balance until it locks at the starting balance, five minimum days and an 80% split. FXIFY also sells a Three Phase at $399 for $100K with 5% targets and a 5% static limit.

News, holding and automation

FTMO allows news trading during the evaluation, but on funded Standard accounts trades on affected instruments cannot be opened or closed from two minutes before to two minutes after selected releases. FXIFY allows news trading on its One, Two and Three Phase accounts, but lists high leverage news trading as prohibited and may ban traders who take significant risk on news. The news trading rules guide compares these policies.

Weekend holding favours FXIFY on standard accounts. FXIFY allows it on its One, Two and Three Phase plans. FTMO allows it during the evaluation, but funded Standard accounts must close before the weekend, and the Swing account type, offered on the 2 Step only, removes that rule and the news restriction at leverage of up to 1:30.

Both allow expert advisors. FTMO requires the strategy to be replicable in real markets, with a capital allocation limit of $400,000 per trader or strategy. FXIFY allows them on its phase plans, but using the same EA from the same provider as other traders counts as herd trading, and it allows one active account of each size per trader.

Pricing and fees

At list price the $100K two step costs $549 at FXIFY and €540 at FTMO, so the gap depends on the exchange rate. At the time of review FTMO offered its $100K 2 Step at €439 to traders without an active challenge of that size, and FXIFY was running a 40% sale on 50K accounts and a 35% discount on One Phase for new traders. Both refund the two step fee with the first payout, FXIFY on request. FTMO adds a 3% fee on PayPal, Skrill and crypto payments.

FXIFY lets traders choose a price feed. The All In feed charges no commission on forex, metals, crypto and indices, while the RAW feed charges $6 per lot on forex, metals and indices, and stock CFDs cost 0.35% round trip on both.

Payouts

FXIFY’s first payout on the Two Phase Standard is on demand once the first funded trade closes in profit, and later payouts follow every 30 days, or every 14 days with a paid add on. The minimum is $50, payouts go only through Rise, and requests are reviewed Monday to Friday and typically processed within three business days of verification. The split is 80%, or 90% with an add on. FXIFY’s scaling plan adds 25% after a 10% return over three months with at least two profitable months, and each further qualifying three months doubles the balance, up to four scale ups.

FTMO rewards can be requested from the 14th day after the first trade. FTMO reviews requests within one to two business days, typically sends funds within one to two business days of invoice approval, and charges no commission. Methods include bank wire from $20, card payouts up to $20,000, Skrill and crypto. The Scaling Plan adds 25% every four months for traders with at least 10% net profit and two processed rewards, up to $2 million, and moves 2 Step accounts to a 90% split. The scaling plans guide and payout calculator help compare the two paths.

Both refund the two step fee with the first payout.

Does FXIFY use static or trailing drawdown?

It depends on the plan. The Two Phase Standard and One Phase use a maximum loss that trails the highest closed balance until it locks at the starting balance. The Two Phase Classic uses a 10% static limit, the Two Phase Pro an 8% static limit and the Three Phase a 5% static limit. FTMO's 2 Step uses a 10% static limit.

When can I take my first payout at FXIFY and FTMO?

FXIFY allows the first payout on its phase plans on demand once the first funded trade closes in profit, then every 30 days, or every 14 days with a paid add on. FTMO allows a first reward request from the 14th day after the first trade on the account, and each withdrawal starts a new cycle.

Can I hold trades over the weekend at FXIFY and FTMO?

FXIFY allows weekend holding on its One, Two and Three Phase plans, but not on Instant Funding. FTMO allows it during the evaluation, but funded Standard accounts must close positions before the weekend. FTMO's Swing account type, available on the 2 Step only, removes that rule at leverage of up to 1:30.

Can US traders use FXIFY or FTMO?

FXIFY lists the United States among its restricted jurisdictions, so US residents cannot buy its challenges. FTMO serves clients in the United States through an affiliated entity rather than its main company, and serves clients in Australia through a separate site. Traders elsewhere should check each firm's restricted country list before buying.
