My Funded Futures Consistency Rule Explained

My Funded Futures applies a 50% or 30% consistency rule to most evaluations and a 50% rule to Builder payouts, and breaking it delays rather than fails.

My Funded Futures Consistency Rule Explained

The My Funded Futures consistency rule limits how much of the profit can come from one day. In the evaluation it is 50% on Rapid and Pro, 30% on Rapid EOD and absent on Builder. Once funded it is reversed: Builder applies a 50% rule to each payout cycle, while Rapid, Rapid EOD and Pro have none. Going over the limit does not fail the account; it means trading more days until the ratio comes down.

How the consistency rule works

MFFU states the evaluation rule as no single day’s profit exceeding 30% or 50% of the total evaluation profit. Its own shortcut for a 50% plan is to halve the profit target: on a 50K with a $3,000 target, the best day should be no more than $1,500. On a 30% plan the same target allows a best day of $900. If a day goes above that, the target in effect rises, because total profit has to grow until the best day is back within the limit. The trader simply keeps trading; nothing is breached.

Plan Evaluation rule Largest day on a 50K at the $3,000 target Funded rule
Builder None, pass in 1 day No limit 50% of profit in each payout cycle
Rapid 50%, at least 2 days $1,500 None
Rapid EOD 30%, at least 4 days $900 None
Pro 50%, at least 2 days $1,500 None
Pro 50K with the One Day add on None, $4,000 target No limit None

The One Day add on was described as free for a limited time. Pro funded accounts have no numerical consistency rule, but MFFU publishes a consistent trading policy for them that discourages using the maximum contract size on every trade, flipping contracts for activity and erratic sizing, and it warns that breaches can lead to restrictions or closure.

The Builder funded rule

On a funded Builder account, a payout needs the buffer cleared, at least two trading days in the current cycle, a minimum profit, and a largest single day of no more than 50% of the cycle’s total profit. The calculation resets after each approved payout, so every cycle is tested on its own. Builder pays 80% of each request, up to $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 per cycle by size, for up to five sim payouts before a move to live.

Worked example

The figures below describe a made up 50K evaluation traded the same way on three plans. The target is $3,000 on each. They illustrate the rules only.

Day Result Total profit Best day share
1 Up $800 $800 100%
2 Up $1,200 $2,000 60%
3 Down $300 $1,700 71%
4 Up $700 $2,400 50%
5 Up $600 $3,000 40%
6 Up $500 $3,500 34%
7 Up $500 $4,000 30%

On Builder the evaluation passes on day 5, when the $3,000 target is reached, because there is no evaluation rule. On Rapid or Pro it also passes on day 5: the $1,200 best day is 40% of the $3,000, inside 50%. On Rapid EOD the same day 5 does not pass, because 40% is above 30%. The trader needs total profit of $1,200 divided by 0.3, which is $4,000, and reaches it on day 7. The $1,200 day has raised the Rapid EOD target by a third, and every extra day of trading also carries the risk of a loss that pushes the total back down.

Now the same trader is funded on Builder and has cleared the buffer. The new cycle runs $900, $300 and $400, a total of $1,600 with a best day of $900, or 56%. No payout is possible yet. A fourth day of $300 lifts the total to $1,900 and brings the best day to 47%, and the request can go in. The consistency rule calculator works out the profit needed for any best day, and the pass probability simulator shows how extra days affect the odds.

Costs and payout terms

All MFFU plans are one time payments with no activation fee. List prices shown on myfundedfutures.com on 1 October 2026 for a 50K were $153 for Builder, or $125 with a $1,500 drawdown, $209 for Rapid and Rapid EOD, and $265 for Pro; the full range ran from $105 to $557. At that time the site offered 40% off with a code and 50% off a first evaluation for new traders.

Once funded, Rapid and Rapid EOD pay 90% daily from 24 hours after the first trade once a buffer of the drawdown plus $100 is built, with a $500 minimum. Pro pays 80% every 14 calendar days after the same buffer, with a $1,000 minimum. Builder pays 80% from 48 hours after the first trade under the rules above. Payouts go through Riseworks or by ACH for US traders, and MFFU says more than 75% are approved automatically. Firms change their terms often, so confirm the current version before buying.

How the rule compares across MFFU plans

The rule sits at different stages depending on the plan, so the choice is about where a trader’s big days are most likely to fall. A trader who tends to pass on one strong session gains from Builder’s open evaluation, but then faces a 50% rule on every payout, plus an 80% split. A trader who is steady in the evaluation but has occasional outsized funded days gains from Rapid or Pro, which drop the rule once funded. Rapid EOD asks the most of consistency, 30% and four days, in exchange for an end of day floor on a 90% funded account. The wider trade offs are set out in My Funded Futures Builder, Rapid and Pro compared, and MFFU’s rules against other firms in My Funded Futures vs Topstep and Tradeify vs My Funded Futures.

Common mistakes

  • Reading the rule as a daily profit cap. A large day is allowed; it just raises the total needed.
  • Forgetting losing days. A loss lowers total profit and raises the best day’s share.
  • Assuming Builder is free of consistency. The rule applies to every funded payout cycle.
  • Chasing the extra profit in one session. Adding to the best day makes the ratio worse, not better.
  • Buying Rapid EOD for its funded rules without planning for 30%. The evaluation is the strictest in the range.

Checklist

  • Note the consistency percentage for your plan and stage.
  • Work out the largest day allowed at the target before starting.
  • After a big day, divide it by the percentage to find the new total needed.
  • On Builder, track each cycle’s best day separately.
  • Check whether a promotion such as the Pro One Day add on is still offered.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does My Funded Futures have a consistency rule?

Yes, on most plans. The evaluation rule is 50% on Rapid and Pro and 30% on Rapid EOD, and Builder has none in the evaluation. Once funded, only Builder has a numerical rule: no single day may be more than 50% of the profit in a payout cycle. Rapid, Rapid EOD and Pro funded accounts have no consistency rule.

What happens if I break the consistency rule at My Funded Futures?

The account is not breached. In an evaluation, the trader keeps trading until the best day falls within 30% or 50% of total profit, which in effect raises the target. On a funded Builder account, the payout request waits until the cycle's best day is within 50% of the cycle's profit. Only the drawdown can end the account.

How do I calculate the My Funded Futures consistency rule?

Divide the best day by the plan's percentage to find the total profit needed. On a 50% plan, a $2,000 best day needs $4,000 of total profit; on the 30% Rapid EOD plan, a $1,200 best day needs $4,000. MFFU's shortcut for a 50% evaluation is to halve the target: a $3,000 target allows a best day of up to $1,500.

Is there a consistency rule on the Rapid funded account?

No. Rapid and Rapid EOD funded accounts have no consistency rule. Payouts need a buffer of the drawdown plus $100, a $500 minimum and, for the first request, 24 hours since the first trade on standard Rapid. The consistency rule only applies in the Rapid evaluation, at 50% on Rapid and 30% on Rapid EOD.

Can I pass a My Funded Futures evaluation in one day?

On Builder, yes, because it has no evaluation consistency rule and a one day minimum. The Pro 50K with the One Day add on, described as free for a limited time, also has no consistency rule and a $4,000 target. Rapid and Pro need at least two days and Rapid EOD at least four, alongside their consistency rules.
