Apex Trader Funding vs Tradeify
Apex Trader Funding and Tradeify both sell one time futures evaluations with end of day drawdown, but they differ on list price, time limits, payout rules and automation.
Apex Trader Funding suits discretionary futures traders who can pass within 30 days, want 100% of each approved payout and like to run many accounts at once. Tradeify suits traders who want a much lower list price, no time limit on the evaluation and the option to run an automated strategy they own. On a 50K end of day account the two firms set almost identical targets, drawdowns and payout caps, so the differences lie in cost, deadlines and what happens after several payouts.
All prices are list prices at the time of review in September 2026. Both firms run frequent discounts, and Apex in particular advertises coupon prices far below its list prices, so the checkout total is what to compare.

Rules and drawdown
Apex asks traders to choose a drawdown type at purchase. The EOD Trail version recalculates the $2,000 limit once a day at 4:59:59 pm ET from the closing balance and enforces it in real time. In the evaluation it keeps trailing on Tradovate but becomes fixed at the profit target balance on Rithmic and WealthCharts, and in the funded Performance Account it stops trailing at $50,100. The Intraday Trail version follows the peak balance, open profit included, and costs $249 at list plus an $89 activation fee. Tradeify uses end of day trailing drawdown on every account, locking at $50,100 once the end of day balance clears the drawdown by $100. For the difference between the two methods, see futures prop firm drawdown rules.
Both firms use a soft daily loss limit that stops trading without failing the account. Apex sets $1,000 on the 50K EOD evaluation and none on the Intraday version, and in the Performance Account the limit starts at $1,000 and rises to $3,000 once profit reaches $6,000. Tradeify Growth sets $1,250, which increases to match the trailing drawdown once profit reaches 6%.
Neither evaluation has a consistency rule, so both can be passed in one day. The rules tighten once funded. Apex applies a 50% rule in the Performance Account, so no single day may make up half or more of the profit since the last approved payout. Tradeify Growth applies a 35% rule to funded payouts. Tradeify’s Select plan works the other way round, with a 40% rule in the evaluation and none once funded.
The time limit is the sharpest difference. Apex evaluations expire at 6 pm ET on day 30 after purchase, with no extensions and no resets, and the Performance Account must be activated within 7 days of passing. Tradeify evaluations have no time limit and can be reset up to 10 times in 30 days. Positions must be flat before 4:59 pm ET at Apex and by 4:45 pm ET at Tradeify.
Pricing, resets and activation fees
Both firms charge a one time fee with no monthly rebilling. Apex list prices for 50K are $590 for EOD and $249 for Intraday on the Standard version, plus a one time activation fee of $119 or $89 after passing. No Activation Fee versions cost $1,190 and $799 respectively. At the time of review the Apex site showed a coupon that cut list prices to one tenth, with further discounts on packs of five. Level 1 data is included, while depth of market data is billed by the platform.
Tradeify Growth 50K costs $145 with no activation fee, and Select 50K costs $165. Resets on Growth cost $60 to $215 depending on size. At the time of review a Tradeify code gave 40% off, and a 5% bundle discount applies to five Growth or Select 25K or 50K accounts. Market data is free for non professional traders.
Payouts
Apex pays 100% of each approved payout on its new Performance Accounts. A request needs five qualifying days with at least $250 profit each on the 50K EOD account, a balance of $52,600 or more and at least $500 to withdraw. Payouts can be as frequent as weekly, and the cap rises from $1,500 to $3,000 across the account’s life. After the sixth approved payout the account closes, so continuing means buying a new evaluation. Traders can hold up to 20 Performance Accounts per household.
Tradeify Growth pays 90/10. A request needs five winning days of at least $150, a balance of $53,000 or more and at least $500. The cap starts at $1,500 and reaches $3,000 from the fourth payout, and payments are issued 24 to 48 hours after approval through Rise or Plane. Traders can hold five simulated funded accounts at once, and three approved payouts qualify a trader for Tradeify Elite live accounts at 80/20. Tradeify reports that 17.2% of Growth, Advanced and Select evaluations were completed between August 2025 and July 2026. How these structures play out is covered in prop firm payouts.
Platforms and markets
Both firms offer Tradovate, Rithmic and WealthCharts connections. Apex notes that Tradovate is TradingView compatible and that Rithmic includes NinjaTrader, and WealthCharts has a built in trade copier for a trader’s own accounts. Tradeify lists NinjaTrader and TradingView through Tradovate, and Tradesea, Quantower, Sierra Chart and R Trader through Rithmic. Both cover CME Group futures, with some EUREX products at Apex on Tradovate only and EUREX data as a paid add on at Tradeify.
Automation is a clear dividing line. Apex bans automation and algorithms outright, along with hedging, high frequency trading and copying trades with other traders. Tradeify allows bots if the trader can prove sole ownership of the code, and permits copying trades in the same direction across a trader’s own accounts. On news, Apex allows normal directional trading but bans orders on both sides of a release, while Tradeify places no news restriction but requires more than half of funded trades, and of funded profit, to come from positions held longer than 10 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which is cheaper, Apex Trader Funding or Tradeify?
At list price Tradeify is cheaper: Growth 50K costs $145 with no activation fee, against $590 plus a $119 activation fee for the Apex 50K EOD evaluation. Apex often shows large coupons, and at the time of review its site cut list prices to one tenth, so the checkout totals should be compared on the day of purchase.
Do Apex evaluations expire?
Yes. New Apex evaluations are active for 30 calendar days from purchase and expire at 6 pm ET on day 30, with no extensions or resets. After passing, the Performance Account must be activated within 7 days. Tradeify evaluations have no time limit and can be reset for a fee.
How many payouts can I take from an Apex Performance Account?
Apex allows a maximum of six approved payouts per Performance Account, after which the account closes. On a 50K account the cap per payout rises from $1,500 to $3,000 across those six requests. Traders who want to keep going need to pass a new evaluation, and they can hold up to 20 Performance Accounts at a time.
Can I use a trading bot at Apex or Tradeify?
Apex does not allow automation or algorithms on any account. Tradeify allows bots and algorithms if the trader can prove sole ownership of the code, and it scans for similar orders across other accounts and may ask for a live video of the code being enabled. Copying trades across your own accounts is allowed at both firms.
Is the Apex 100% split better than the Tradeify 90/10 split?
The split is only one part of the payout. Apex pays 100% of approved payouts but closes the account after six, with caps of $1,500 to $3,000 on 50K. Tradeify Growth pays 90/10 with the same cap range and a 35% consistency rule on funded payouts. The payout rules and caps usually matter more than the headline split.
