Advantages

  • Offers the full MetaTrader suite (MT4 and MT5).
  • Offers a good selection of CFD markets.
  • Competitive spreads on gold, and a commission based ProZero account with discounts that are available through an active trader program.
  • Finologix charts provide a good foundation for ACY’s proprietary platform development. They are integrated into the ACY Cloud client portal.
  • MT5 is available for equity trading.
  • Signal Start and SoFinX are added to the social copy trading offering.
  • Crowdsourcing the best day traders to compete for allocations, similar to a proprietary trading firm, through a year-long Trading Cup competition.

Disadvantages

  • The per trade fee for commission-based forex accounts is higher for international clients, but is discounted if you are based in Australia.
  • Standard account spreads are slightly higher than industry average; ProZero account spreads are lower, but round-turn commission is double outside Australia.
  • Poorly organized educational content.
  • Under its Vanuatu entity, ACY Securities is no longer onboarding clients. The broker is licensed by ASIC and the FSA of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (a jurisdiction with a Tier 5 Trust Score that offers little to no consumer protection).
